Mahsan Ghazianzad
Hello, my name is Mahsan Ghazianzad and I live in Sacramento, CA.
I was born in Tehran, the capital city of Iran and pursued my Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting, drawing and printmaking at Soore university in Tehran, Iran and obtained my terminal degree in Fine Arts, MFA, in studio art, painting and drawing at the University of Nevada, Reno. I have been working as an artist and art instructor for the past two decades.
What inspires me the most is conceptual art that is intentionally designed and created to convey truth and meaning. To me, art can serve as the means by which social and philosophical questions that we come to grips with in life can be examined and even answered. I have participated in numerous exhibitions and artist talks nationally and internationally.

Original Medium:
These series are inspired by my personal experiences with migration and searching for freedom and truth through migration. I have tried to capture the very essence of these experiences through the use of paper airplanes in my paintings: I use paper airplanes as metaphors that express ideas about freedom and living life without social or cultural limitations.
