Call To Artists
At this time, CADA is not requesting artwork for the Capitol Box Art Program.
The inaugural call was conducted in November 2013 and the revival in October 2020. Jointly funded by CADA and the Downtown Sacramento Partnership, and managed by the Sacramento Office of Arts + Culture (OAC), professional artists who were 18 years or older and reside within 100 miles of Sacramento were invited to submit their qualifications for the project.
Selected artists were given a 3-year maintenance commitment with the understanding that any time after the 3-year commitment a new round of artists could be selected to refresh the downtown utility boxes.
